Recalling Rest

Photo: RECALLING REST
by Judith Froemming

"My head was turned by a sweet, ripe sun,
I thought you'd left me, fields to run.
Oh wintersong, you're back to see,
Love's silent cycle set me free.

You're drifting down in luminous gown,
sprinkling wisdom all around.
Recalling rest, blanketing deep,
until green birds wake my sleep."

Oh wintersong, you're back to see,
Love's silent timbre set me free.

You're floating down in luminous gown,

sprinkling wisdom all around.
Recalling rest, blankets deep,
until birds of green wake my sleep."
