When The Thinker Has Thunk

Photo: WHEN THE THINKER HAS THUNK
by Judith Froemming

"When the thinker has thunk
and convinced you of dearth,
spinning stories of junk,
disparaging your worth;

take a bath in the sunlight,
have a talk with the moon,
drink a glass of sweet starlight,
rest your eyes on a bloom.

The One To See

how letting go
sets hearts free,
and standing still
can simply be."

Fragrance For Free

Photo: FRAGRANCE FOR FREE
By Judith Froemming

"A river loves being a wanderer,
a tree loves being leaved,
the sun loves throwing out diamonds,
and flowers are fragrant for free.

Flowers bloom when watered,
trees green in the sun,
the sun guides the planets,
and the river returns us to One."

Not A Word Can Speak

Photo: NOT A WORD CAN SPEAK
By Judith Froemming

"Misty mountain petals float,
hovering above the peak.
Loving lotus softly opens,
not a word can speak.

Ethereal art, freely hung,
a beautiful retreat.
Nothing to say, nothing to do,
more words portend defeat."

Loving Hush

Photo: LOVING HUSH
By Judith Froemming

"The story is deeply drawn,
across our time and space,
you can keep all your treasures,
preserve your young face.

This illusion claims power,
to save you a place,
yet no matter the promise,
there's no winning this race.

There's nothing to do,
there's no where to rush,
A million years are yours,
in each moment of Love's hush."

End The Lie

Photo: END THE LIE
By Judith Froemming

"I wandered after some dream,
of golden threads and star-dusted wine.
One million miles from true north,
my skin fell off and I lost my shine.

The Con-troll drooled for my heart,
wet head pressed on cold stone,
shaking bones sucked desert dry,
'told you so' voices droned.

Time to let go the illusion,
give up the compulsion to climb,
in one waking, illumined moment,
the truth tells me Love is still mine.

Tears of release pour from the sky,
quench my bones and wash my eye.
Skinless, transparent, shimmering with light,
walk out of the drought and end the lie."

"I wandered after some dream;

golden threads and star-dusted wine.
One million miles from true north,
my skin fell off and I lost my shine.

The Con-troll drooled for my only heart,

wet head pressed on cold, dark stone,
shaking bones sucked desert dry,
'told-you-so' voices sourly droned.

Time to let go the illusion,

give up the compulsion to climb,
in one waking, illumined moment,
truth tells me Love is still mine.

Tears of release pour from the sky,

quench my bones and wash my eye.
Skinless, transparent, shimmering with light,

Recalling Rest

Photo: RECALLING REST
by Judith Froemming

"My head was turned by a sweet, ripe sun,
I thought you'd left me, fields to run.
Oh wintersong, you're back to see,
Love's silent cycle set me free.

You're drifting down in luminous gown,
sprinkling wisdom all around.
Recalling rest, blanketing deep,
until green birds wake my sleep."

Loving As Art

"I notice
I create a lot more joy,
by expanding the playground,
and sharing the toys.

I notice
I create equanimity,
by quieting the mind,
and traveling belief-free.

I notice
I create a compassionate heart,
by Originally Blessing,
and Loving, as art."

The Way of the Tree

The Way of the Tree
© Judith Froemming 2012

"One day, many years ago,
I was walking in the woods and noticed
that a beautiful red leaf was beginning it's spiraling descent
from a nearly full, ripe tree.
I thought sadly,
'Why do the trees have to lose their beautiful leaves?'
To my surprise, I heard the tree say to me,
'Look around you,
do you see even one tree reaching down to grasp after it's leaves?'

I slowly looked around and confessed,
'No, I do not.'
Then the tree quietly said,
'Let go. Trust the process.'
So I did.
I heard the wisdom in the falling silence,
and remembered,
'I am that.'
I continue in the Way of the Tree to this very day."

Only Presence

Photo: ONLY PRESENCE
By Judith Froemming

"No matter how fast the runner,
No matter how high the flight,
how many closets are stuffed,
how forcefully beliefs collide,
not one can end the suffering,
not one can bring the peace,
not one can open a closed heart,
only presence brings release."

Send Love

"Fear throws angry stones,
and fences with words.
Fear drop big bombs,
and withdraws in hurt.

When the force is fearful,
the heart shrivels and cools.
When the power is Love,
peace and presence rule."

Answer or Question?

Photo: ANSWER OR QUESTION
By Judith Froemming

Am I drop or rain?
Am I fish or ocean?
Am I tree or sap?
Am I wave or motion?

Am I answer or question?
Am I unseen or seen?
Am I chaos or calm?
Yes, and everything in between."
